Artemisia princeps seed
This perennial wormwood comes from Japan. With the flowering it can be up to one meter (3.3 ft) high, but it can always be trimmed back properly.
Like most Artemisia, Yomogi spreads out and soon a considerable area will be occupied.
But it is also easy to put into pots.
The Japanese wormwood is an excellent and winterhart substitute for white sage (Salvia apiana) for use as a smoking plant.
Its soft and cooling smoke cleans the air and drives out negatives.
This vermouth is also used in Moxa therapy.
In Japanese kitchen, yomogi is used as a herb in small quantities for mochi, soups and rice.
