A nutritional supplement that offers a rich source of protein, calcium and iron. Often used in recipes for juicing, or added to stews or soups. Barley was one of the first cereal grasses to be cultivated by human beings, and the development of barley beer in Neolithic times probably cemented its popularity. Barley contains gluten, and should not be consumed by those with gluten sensitivity.
