We are a global plant biotechnology enterprise whose work spans laboratory research, rare species propagation, and the responsible distribution of botanical diversity across continents. Our catalog encompasses more than 812 plant categories, our network reaches 233 countries and territories, and our research division operates at the frontier of seed science, tissue culture, molecular biology, and cryopreservation.
What began as a regional operation has grown into a globally recognized institution. The decision to expand internationally in the early 2000s was not a reckless leap but a natural extension of our conservation mission: if rare plant species were to be preserved and studied globally, they needed to be accessible to researchers and cultivators across international borders. Building a compliant, responsible international distribution network required years of investment in regulatory expertise, documentation systems, and relationships with customs authorities and agricultural ministries around the world.
Yet growth has never been an end in itself. It is the consequence of a singular purpose: to advance the science of plants so that humanity may inherit a world richer in biodiversity, more resilient in its food systems, and more deeply connected to the natural systems that sustain all life. With an estimated 40% of all plant species now threatened with extinction, active propagation and cultivation are essential complements to habitat protection. Many rare plants are difficult to cultivate — they may have specialized germination requirements, slow growth rates, specific soil or microbial associations, or low reproductive output. For these reasons, rare species are often underrepresented in ex situ collections even as their wild populations decline.
We work with species from every continent — from the alpine meadows of the Himalayas to tropical rainforests, from African deserts to Mediterranean woodlands. Our program includes species from more than 150 plant families. Each species enters a structured process: documented collection from wild populations, research and assessment, protocol development through iterative experimentation, multiplication under carefully managed genetic diversity protocols, and responsible distribution to accredited institutions under appropriate material transfer agreements.
For species with critically small wild populations, our program may be the only thing standing between them and permanent extinction. We have achieved the first documented ex situ germination for numerous species previously considered essentially uncultivable, and we provide plant material for reintroduction into suitable protected habitats in partnership with conservation organizations and government agencies.

Our global distribution network — built over nearly three decades — delivers viable, scientifically documented plant material to clients in 233 countries and territories. The international plant trade is among the most heavily regulated forms of commerce, and rightly so: plants can carry pests and diseases that, if introduced to new regions, cause devastating ecological and economic damage.
We navigate the complex web of international phytosanitary regulations, CITES conventions, and national biodiversity laws not as obstacles but as essential frameworks that protect the diversity we seek to share. Every shipment is accompanied by detailed documentation: phytosanitary certificates, CITES permits where applicable, provenance records, germination test data, and species-specific cultivation instructions.
We operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, because the work of preserving plant diversity does not pause for weekends or holidays. We maintain regional distribution arrangements in key markets, work with trusted shipping partners, and employ temperature-controlled packaging — and, in exceptional cases, personal courier delivery — for delicate or high-value material.
Beyond logistics, we are committed to ethical and responsible trade. We do not harvest seeds or plants from wild populations in ways that threaten their survival. We prefer to distribute material we have propagated ourselves, and we refuse to trade in species for which we cannot verify legal origin.
