Echinops sphaerocephalus seed
Mordovnik can be used for planting on uncultivated land plots adjacent to the apiary (meadows, ravines, among bushes). The ball-headed mordovia blooms for more than a month, from late July to early August. The plant has a very high nectar productivity. In conditions of average humidity and temperatures above 25 degrees, the nectarity of a Flower averages at least 2 mg. In dry weather, the nectariness of the mordovnik decreases by 50%, but does not stop, unlike many other melliferous plants. The nectar is colorless, transparent, has a pleasant spicy smell. The sugar concentration in it is very high and reaches 65-70%. Under favorable climatic conditions, up to 700-800 kg of honey can be collected from one hectare of thickets of mordovnik.
