Chinese Fringe tree seeds Chionanthus retusus

Chionanthus retusus, known as the chinese Fringe tree, is a lovely deciduous small tree or large shrub that is native to china, Korea, and Japan.

Grows 3-5 metres tall and has a rounded wide-spreading form.

Has 7-16cm opposite, leathery lustrous green leaves.

Chionanthus retusus is a beautiful spring flowering deciduous tree in the Olive family (Oleaceae). The name Chionanthus is from the Greek chion and anthos a Flower, in reference to the abundant white fringe-like flowers. These flowers are borne in profusion in early spring.

Very frost hardy,
This beautiful deciduous spring blooming small tree grows to 10-14 feet tall and 10-12 feet across. The tree is covered with wonderful snow white 5 inch panicles from May thru June

It is a beautiful tree that gets great large green foliage, and great white fringe type blooms.
