The anise hyssop bottles the upright, aromatic perennial with the toothed, pointed leaves that smell of the anise when brushed and the dense, upright, bottle-brush-like spikes of the small, tubular flowers in the blues, the purples and the pinks that open through the summer, the spikes bottling above the foliage, the small nutlets following.
